My Story

Welcome to my site.  I'm Helen, a retired clergywoman trying to combine my call to ministry with my love of arts and crafts.  As I retired, I thought "what do I want to do when I grow up?".  Longing for fellowship and creativity,  I decided that one of the things would be to facilitate meditation/card creation gatherings where we could listen to God's Word and create greeting cards that convey our care to others.  So I became a Close To My Heart Consultant.  If you live nearby, you are invited to join one of our sessions (click on the calendar).  I would also be happy to help you set up a similar program wherever you live.
I have been working on my family geneology for several years.  My mom will be turning 90 this year and with the help of my neices, I am creating an album of our family tree highlighting her life.  Come over and let me show you how to do yours on a "Do Your Own Thing" Saturday.
